Designed by Wayne from Objkt Joinery, this home was built for his own family with three young children, with durability in mind to withstand the knocks and wear of daily life. The joinery features hardwood plywood with a clear Osmo oil finish, preserving the natural look while offering lasting protection. Seamlessly crafted with no visible plywood edges and complimented with sleek black acrylic panels.

The kitchen boasts a striking 70mm thick textured black granite island benchtop, with 20mm benchtops elsewhere, paired with Dekton Trillium splashbacks for a modern touch. Solid cedar barn door sliders and a feature front door add character and warmth throughout. The kids’ robes were made fun by incorporating black chalkboard panels and pink and blue magnetic doors. Custom-turned birch plywood handles add a unique and personal touch to this custom-designed space.
